The fundamental concept in this garden, which takes the name of “mutations”, is based on the notion that the fragile natural systems it contains (meadow systems, aquatic plants, mushrooms and bacterial systems) succumb to continuous changes in harmony given the modifications in the cycles of nature of the place in which they are found.
Light will play a specific role in the ability to perceive the different colors that the biological systems will be able to assume over time— both during the installation process as well as the long term life of the garden. The project is thus open to multiple levels of interpretation between the dreamlike, the playful, and that which is simply directed towards contemplative perception.
PERCEPTIONS: We propose a place charged with synesthesia and nulti-sensory occassions. A garden in which, in its interior, the public has the opportunity to perceive and experiment as much as learn and allow themselves to be surprised.
The garden is composed of a certain amount of devices that are proposed as carriers of perceptive strategies. This project starts with the will to modify the perception of the place, and this signifies putting into discussion the geometry of the assigned parcel. The fundamental operation would be that of maximizing the possibilities for interaction and mutation of the perceptions of the interior parcel, discovering the infinite qualities of light and of it’s multiple games with the colors of the natural changing elements in time.
