Puri Bali

We are in Bali, an island of tradition, where an identity is clearlly seen in the landscapes of this territory. The temples, the people, it’s culture and traditions, the way space is organizad and the way of life is what makes of this small island a turist hot spot.

Why Bali? Why such a remote place makes people fall in love? That’s why it’s landscape, and it’s weather puts us in evidence it’s fragility and pure nature this place has. In our contemporany world, Bali seams to have the magic to freeze time. That’s why we are going to colonized with any premeditation?

Let’s look at this picture. A small traditional village in Bali. There are only a few elements which create this village. We don’t talk about a space strategy, we talk about a community that develops as a family. But if we zoom at, we can see how the houses, temples and vegetation create a strong piece that it’s integrated on the landscape. It doesn’t look like a town created buy man, it seams that been there forever. One big roof top, the central tree and water, are the elements in wich the new ‘Puri Bali’ resort is inspired in.

What is a resort? Is a resort on artificial landscape? But we can make a Resort under a cover? Under a topographical element?

This cannot seem an artificial place, thought and built since the absenteeism? Questions that affirm that an unique place like resort site is as a piece of collector, where we don’t show the building, but we purify the place. We do the new ‘Uluwatu’ topography of ‘Puri Bali’ , that is able to have a small village under their covers, vegetation and transmit the landscape, the views and the silence between their inhabitants.

The Beach, a quite place near of the sea of sand and vegetation and empty of elements but at the same time full of places where we can be.

The cliff, the village. The new topography. The villages and the condos situated under a vegetable cloak that protects them and reorganize the vegetation and the underpass . A village that contains services on the ground floors and pedestrians access on roads not marked to assume casuals operations.

We don’t talk about a static space but malleable to the cliff, fortify the idea of dynamism of the place where the resident can choose the way home.

The Plateau, the absolut landscape and the empty. The space of the temple. The highest point. These interior cover orders a programm. Let’s avoid the sensation to enter in a small big city. ‘Puri Bali’ offers the empty, the silence, an identity, and doesn’t try reproduce nothing, only offers the oportunity to get the natural things of Bali. The place is original and it’s not necessary to imitate.
