It is always about finding the suitable place, the place where all of the components coincide to define THE place. Eighty thousand square meters of parcel and over a kilometer of longitudinal distance configure the borders of a piece of territory in the hummock of Cala Carbo on the island of Ibiza.

The project does not aspire to define a singular place, that which is defined as a space for use, that is delimited from the rest and which relieves the landscape to a second plane behind the house. The project is within the landscape, it is not situated in a place. At one point, it is defined around various locations that allow the intergration of the project within it’s natural boundaries. A map, is what it is, a house like a map— capable of hiding a treasure. The house is organized on various planes displaced versus the topography of the terrain. In this way, the house is capable of not reaching altitude, but of being visual and defining itself in a typology of slanted trees/plants. The plan is charged with intertwining the planes and the different areas.
